Confirm approval and authority
Have the relevant permit, development consent, strata authority or owner approval ready. Check that it covers the correct tree and work.
Tell Josh about any conditions relating to display, timing, replacement planting or pruning limits.
Clear the agreed route
Move pot plants, furniture, toys, hoses and loose items from the route identified during the quote. Unlock gates and make sure the crew can reach the tree without entering an unexpected area.
If access crosses common property or a neighbour’s land, permission should be arranged in advance.
Vehicles, children and pets
Move vehicles from the work and material-handling areas before the crew arrives. Keep children and pets inside or away from the property as agreed.
The crew will establish a work zone. Do not enter it to watch, retrieve an item or speak to the climber; communicate with the designated ground contact.
Services and fragile features
Point out known irrigation, lighting, drainage, water, gas and electrical services, especially near stump grinding or equipment routes. Provide plans or locating information where required.
Identify septic systems, tanks, pool equipment, fragile paving and garden features that may not be obvious.
Decide what material you want to keep
If you want suitable mulch, firewood or timber retained, agree on the material and placement area during the quote. The area should be accessible and suitable for the volume.
Otherwise, branches, logs, leaves and green waste are removed and the work area receives a thorough clean-up.
