Branches and leafy material
Suitable branches are commonly processed through a wood chipper, which reduces their volume into chip or mulch. Safe chipper operation requires a controlled work zone and trained ground operations.
Very fibrous, contaminated or unsuitable material may require a different handling method.
Logs and larger timber
Larger sections may be cut into manageable pieces and transported separately. If you want suitable firewood or timber retained, discuss useful sizes and placement before the job.
Fresh timber can be heavy and the volume easy to underestimate. The retention area must be practical.
Palm material
Palm fronds, heads and trunks behave differently from ordinary branches and may not be appropriate for every chip or garden use. Josh will explain the expected outcome for the specific removal.
Do not assume palm material will create the same mulch as woody pruning waste.
What a thorough clean-up means
The crew removes agreed tree-work material, rakes or blows the immediate work area as appropriate and clears the access route used for the job. The aim is a tidy property, not merely a cleared drop zone.
Existing leaf litter, unrelated garden waste or restoration work is outside the tree-work clean-up unless specifically included.
Agree on retained material at quote stage
Leaving mulch or timber changes how material is processed and where it is moved. Show Josh the intended placement area during the visit.
If you change your mind on the work day, the crew may not be able to alter the plan without affecting time or access.
