Local tree rules and council approval
Tree controls depend on the property, the tree and the work proposed. Council’s private-land tree page explains the current permit, exemption, development and biodiversity checks. The property owner or authorised representative is responsible for checking the current requirements and obtaining any approval needed before protected vegetation is pruned, removed or cleared.

What happens after you contact Josh?
- Talk through the concern. Tell Josh what you have noticed, the address and whether access is shared, steep or restricted.
- Meet on site. Josh examines the tree or vegetation, checks the surroundings and discusses what work may address the concern.
- Receive a written quote. The price reflects the work discussed, access, green-waste removal and clean-up for that property.
- Deal with the same person through the work. Josh plans the job and performs most of the climbing and technical tree work, supported by the ground crew with rigging, processing and clean-up.
