Looking beyond the tree
Tree work often takes place above or beside roofs, pools, fences, paving and established gardens. Josh also checks gates, stairs, narrow side paths, slopes and the distance from the tree to the street. Narrow access doesn’t necessarily mean we can’t do the job, but it can affect how the work is carried out and priced.
If branches cross a boundary or access through a neighbouring property may be needed, it is best to raise that early. The property owner remains responsible for permission to enter another property and for any council approval required before the work begins.
Choosing the right work
A concern does not automatically mean the tree has to be removed. Selective pruning may solve a clearance or damaged-branch problem, while a poorly placed or unsuitable tree may need to be removed. Josh can also quote palm removal, hedge trimming, vegetation management and land clearing after seeing what is involved.
- Show Josh every tree, palm or hedge you want included
- Mention recent changes, fallen branches or previous work
- Point out delicate surfaces, irrigation and garden features
- Say whether you would like suitable mulch, firewood or timber retained
Council checks and clean-up
Council rules depend on the property, tree and proposed work. Owners or authorised representatives are responsible for checking the current requirements and obtaining any consent needed. Unless the quote states otherwise, the crew removes cut branches, logs, leaves and other green waste and leaves the area clean and tidy. Any material you want to keep should be discussed before the job is booked.
